Two-Factor Authentication Setup
USDN requires two-factor authentication (2FA) for all accounts to ensure the highest level of security. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up 2FA for your account.
Understanding 2FA
Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring:
- Something you know (your password)
- Something you have (authenticator app or YubiKey)
Setup Options
USDN supports two methods for 2FA:
1. Authenticator App
- Google Authenticator
- Authy
- Microsoft Authenticator
- Other TOTP-compatible apps
2. YubiKey
- Hardware security key
- Physical authentication device
- Enhanced security option
Setting Up Authenticator App
Prerequisites
- Download and install a compatible authenticator app
- Have your mobile device ready
- Log into your USDN account
Setup Process

Navigate to Security Settings:
- Click your profile icon
- Select "Security Settings"
- Choose "Configure 2FA"

Select Authenticator App:
- Choose "Use Authenticator App"
- Select your app type

Link Your Device:
- Scan the QR code with your app
- Enter the 6-digit code shown
- Verify the setup

Save Backup Codes:
- Download or copy backup codes
- Store them securely
- Keep them separate from your device
Using 2FA
Daily Login Process
- Enter your username and password
- When prompted, open your authenticator app
- Enter the current 6-digit code
- Complete login
Using Backup Codes
- Click "Use Backup Code" at login
- Enter one of your backup codes
- Generate new backup codes after using one
