Two-Factor Authentication Setup

USDN requires two-factor authentication (2FA) for all accounts to ensure the highest level of security. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up 2FA for your account.

Understanding 2FA

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring:

  1. Something you know (your password)
  2. Something you have (authenticator app or YubiKey)

Setup Options

USDN supports two methods for 2FA:

1. Authenticator App

  • Google Authenticator
  • Authy
  • Microsoft Authenticator
  • Other TOTP-compatible apps

2. YubiKey

  • Hardware security key
  • Physical authentication device
  • Enhanced security option

Setting Up Authenticator App

Prerequisites

  1. Download and install a compatible authenticator app
  2. Have your mobile device ready
  3. Log into your USDN account

Setup Process (authenticator app)

  1. In the portal, open AccountSecurityManage 2FA (see the portal walkthrough).
  2. Select Authenticator App and follow the prompts to scan the QR code and enter a verification code.
  3. Save backup codes when they are shown.
